The new Canon EOS 5D Mark IV announced

The new Canon EOS 5D Mark IV announced

Successor for Canons highly appreciated Canon EOS 5D Mark III has been rumored for quite some time.
Finally today, Canon announced release of the new member of 5D family, the new Canon EOS 5D Mark IV.

The new camera is expected to hit the stores sometime in September 2016, and it will have slightly higher resolution, much better ISO performance and bigger dynamic range than its predecessor. Apart for that, ability to shoot 4K video, improved autofocus, GPS and WiFi are some of the key-features that new 5D Mark IV will offer. All the camera specifications can be seen on Canons press release.

I have been using Canon EOS 5D Mark II since 2010 and I deliberately skipped Mark III, as it improvements over Mark II where, in my opinion, not sufficient to justify the upgrade. However, I have been using Mark III on several occasions and I absolutely loved its autofocus and better ISO performance, comparing to Mark II.

Over the years and my photography improved and I started to realize how many limitations my old 5D Mark II has, when compared with the new cameras. That’s why I’ve been eagerly waiting for the 5D Mark IV´s announcement for a quiet some time.

Improved, fast and accurate autofocus, greatly improved ISO performance and much bigger dynamic range are for me the key-features of the new of Canon EOS Mark IV. Those improvements will allow me to photograph the way I couldn´t with my old 5D Mark II, and to be quite honest, I can´t wait to put my hands on it, and to start using it.
